Hurts - Wonderful Life

Every day i discover a new song, a new actor or a movie I want to see next!

Today, i discovered these guys. The song reminds me of something which i can't really put my finger on it! It has an 80's feel to it, very smooth, but oh so cool! The video is rather interesting and i like the blankness of their faces and the moodiness of the video!

Hope you enjoy it!

To be able to draw like that is a gift....

A couple years ago, surfing the internet for cool pictures for a presentation, i found these drawings made by Stella Im Hultberg.

This one is by far my favourite and i even have a t-shirt of it

Maybe it's just the simplicity of the picture, the rawness, the sad, actually bored look the girl is giving, everything is beautiful!

For me, less is more and i love these kind of drawings! In an era where everyone is trying to be different, to create weird, unimaginable things to draw attention, Stella is doing the opposite! The colors, the old, dirty, "i spilled my coffee on it" look is unique and i think it gives a special touch to the work of art!

Please go check out her website and find out more about her! She is amazing!

Boardwalk Empire

Created by Terence Winter and produced by Mark Walberg and Martin Scorsese (who also directed the pilot), the story  „Chronicles the life and times of Nucky Thompson, the undisputed ruler of Atlantic City, who was equal parts politician and gangster.” www.imdb.com

I heard great buzz about this HBO mini series, so I thought I should check it out!

After 1 hour and 20 minutes, I don’t regret doing it!

The story was intriguing, especially because of the prohibition subject and, of course, being inspired by people like Enoch L. Johnson, Al Capone and Mickey Duffy. It just shows you enough to get you interested in finding out more!

The cast is amazing and i, personally, really liked Michael Pitt’s character- Jimmy Darmody and Kelly Macdonald as Margaret Schroeder, mainly because their story and their interaction with Steve Buscemi was so misterious, so lacking of the whole picture, that you know there is more then meets the eye!

And as some say, you can recognise Martin Scorsese’s work- it was beautifully directed and it felt like i was watching a movie, not a mini series!

I was a bit lost in the specific story of some of the characters, like the Italians, but there is time to understand it! I am willing to give my time to see the rest of the season!

Go check it out!
