Then on the car ride home, I lowered that rating to 3.5/5. I was just reading my review I did on it and it seemed really negative. But now, I have this strange love for the film. I really want to see the film again, just to confirm my feelings about it.

But woo daddy, that ending was so well done!Stevee Taylorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12284769251750574447noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3759165361533454798.post-84062046161396210682011-11-09T22:51:53.052+00:002011-11-09T22:51:53.052+00:00Not sure when or if I'll see this. I liked Claire's development, Justine not so much. Like I said, it was bad at the beginning of part two, then the end was good. Over all, I would call it a very good movie.

I've seen Dogville when I was younger and I remember liking it, but besides that one, no, I haven't seen anyother one Lars von Trier, nor do I plan to, not Antichrist, at least! Me, I thought the film was close to masterful. You're absolutely right that it is (at times) rather slow. But Lars von Trier definitely makes his own kind of movies. He is acquired taste, to put in kindly.

Was this your first foray into the warped mind of Lars von Trier? If so, I'm not sure that you'd like this other stuff. Melancholia is the most accesible and least graphic of his recent films.Alex Withrowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15887018476048271594noreply@blogger.com
